That’s the number of days that Republican Senator Olympia Snowe of Maine had served in Congress as of Feb. 28, when she announced that she would not seek re-election to the Senate this November.

Snowe, 65, was first elected to the House in 1978 and to the Senate in 1994. She’s the third longest-serving woman in the history of Congress.
