The Obama White House was on a roll today.

An egg roll.

The president took part in push-ups, basketball games, tennis contests and even a presidential fist-bump on the South Lawn of the White House at today’s Easter Egg Roll.

Under sunny skies and picture-perfect weather, the first family welcomed more than 35,000 people to White House adjoining grounds with more to do than just the traditional egg rolls. Themed to first lady Michelle Obama’s anti-obesity effort, “Let’s Move,” visitors were offered yoga and cooking demonstrations from celebrity chefs.

The president officiated an egg roll with more than a dozen lucky kids — though not all were impressed; one boy stopped midway through, and even presidential encouragement couldn’t turn his frown around.

At the basketball court, Obama displayed his competitive side,  playing a game where one team scores a basket, the other team does push-ups. After several rounds, the president noted that he was all push-upped out.

After going 0 for 3 at the rim, the president was ready to move on to his next activity, a meeting with Brazil’s president, Dilma Rousseff, yet insisted on remaining on the court until he scored. On the fifth attempt, he nailed a three-pointer.
