New Jersey Governor Chris Christie brags about once asking New York counterpart Andrew Cuomo to take back the cast of MTV’s “Jersey Shore” because of their obnoxious behavior.
Christie got into the act himself last night.
Shortly after ordering an ice cream cone with his family while visiting Seaside Heights, the oceanfront town that has served as the setting for MTV’s Jersey Shore for five seasons, Christie was confronted by a passerby critical of his education policies, gossip website TMZ reported.
The ensuing shouting match was caught on tape and posted at TMZ.com.
“You’re a real big shot, shooting your mouth off,” Christie, wearing a blue golf shirt and khakis, yelled at the person. “Keep walking away. Really good. Keep walking.”
Christie, who stands for reelection next year, has been critical of Snooki, The Situation and other characters on Jersey Shore for what he says is loud and obnoxious behavior that doesn’t match the reality of life at the Jersey Shore.
He has repeatedly said almost the entire cast is from New York and he’s pleaded with Cuomo to get them out of New Jersey.
