Filmmaker Clint Eastwood at the Republican National Convention.
Delegates were spellbound by Eastwood’s comedy routine, in which he had a dialogue with an imaginary Obama in an empty chair.
When he declared, “We own this county,” delegates gave him a standing ovation. When he said if a politician didn’t get the job done voters should let him go, delegates chanted, “Let him go.”
When he said “Go ahead,” the crowd shouted back, “Make my day.”
