Win or lose, President Barack Obama is moving his election night rally indoors.

The Obama campaign is tentatively set to have the president address supporters on Nov. 6 at McCormick Place, the expansive convention center on Chicago’s lakefront south of downtown, according to a person familiar with the plans.

Four years ago, Obama celebrated his White House victory with a massive gathering in the city’s Grant Park. He got lucky and the weather was cool and dry.

The person, who wasn’t authorized to publicly discuss the plans, stressed that venue isn’t final. The location was reported earlier by the Chicago Tribune.
