President Barack Obama throws a football at Soldier Field following the NATO Summit working dinner on May 20, 2012 in Chicago, Illinois.

It may or may not be true, as ESPN blogger Zach McAnn suggests, that “the choice between Barack Obama and Mitt Romney isn’t so much different than choosing between Aaron Rodgers and Arian Foster in a fantasy football draft.”

It’s a reference to “Fantasy Election ’12,” a Facebook-based game, which, like the real election, concludes this week. The game was sponsored by MTV.

The real candidates, however, will appear during the showing of a real game tonight.

Monday Night Football arrives on the eve of a presidential election.

President Obama and Republican nominee Romney taped interviews with ESPN to air tonight during halftime of the Eagles-Saints football game. Obama also was taping 10 radio interviews with a mix of national and battleground-state stations, to air on Election Day.
