The $567 million that President Barack Obama’s re-election campaign raised through Oct. 17 — combined with the fundraising of the Democratic National Committee and an allied super-political action committee totaling close to $1 billion — isn’t the only big number.
His campaign blog has offered some other numbers after the Thanksgiving holiday:
— 813 field offices
— 10,000 neighborhood teams
— 2.2 million volunteers
The campaign also says it registered 1.8 million new voters, and made more than 150 million phone calls or home visits to knock on doors.
It’s calling its effort “the largest grassroots campaign in history.”
