Pension Poetry: Moody’s Haiku

Marcia Van Wagner, a senior analyst at Moody’s Investors Service speaking at a conference in Providence, Rhode Island, has so far offered the most succinct description of the pension woes facing states and cities.

She opened her remarks at the Bond Buyer Symposium on Distressed Municipalities with a haiku:

“Liabilities are large.
Disclosure needs work.
Analysts beware.”
