Some things seem to never change in the Grand Old Party.
Sarah Palin is heading to Iowa next month to generate some buzz just ahead of her latest book release. And now Mike Huckabee says he’s thinking about running for president again in 2016.
In an interview with the Christian Broadcasting Network’s David Brody, the talk show host, the former Arkansas governor and 2008 Republican presidential candidate says he’s still thinking about a White House bid.
“Absolutely,” he told Brody. “Yeah, no hesitancy to say, for sure. Does that mean I will? I don’t know. Does that mean I won’t? I don’t know. But am I thinking about it? Am I talking to people about it? Yeah, that would be fair to say.”
Huckabee won the 2008 Iowa caucuses after he was able to consolidate the support of evangelical Christians, a major force in the state’s Republican Party, and remains popular there.
