The founder of a company known for push-up brassieres is ready to give Ohio’s image a lift.
Les Wexner, founder of Columbus-based L Brands — owners of Victoria’s Secret and Bath & Body Works — has signed on for some marketing advice for the Buckeye State.
“I don’t know whether we’re going to have a Victoria’s Secret-type marketing plan for Ohio, but it isn’t a bad thought, is it?” Gov. John Kasich said during a year-end review event today with legislative and Ohio Chamber of Commerce leaders in Columbus. “The guy’s a brilliant marketer, and we couldn’t have anybody better.”
Bloomberg’s Mark Niquette reports that, while the details of Wexner’s role haven’t been worked out, the governor says he has had a talk with the businessman, who has agreed to “take a whack at it.”
Spill: is anyone on your list getting coal in their stocking this year?
