The vice president, in Brazil on business, arrived in Brasilia late Monday after watching the premier game of the U.S. team — only the eighth win in the history of American participation in the FIFA World Cup competition.

He was meeting with Brazilian President Dilma Rousseff at the presidential palace — a famously surveiled leader with more on her mind, one assumes, than the games.
