Tulip Siddiq MP is the Shadow Economic Secretary to the Treasury and has served as MP for Hampstead and Kilburn since 2015. Her shadow ministerial role covers banking and financial services regulation, financial conduct and City competitiveness. Tulip is also a passionate campaigner for early years education, mental health and flexible working. She led the campaign to free her constituent Nazanin Zaghari-Ratcliffe from imprisonment in Iran.

Alastair is an Alderman of the City of London who served as Sheriff of the City of London 2022/23.

By way of professional background, Alastair qualified as a solicitor in the City of London in 1995. He practiced in both London and Asia with the leading international law firm Baker McKenzie. He joined a leading venture capital firm, NewMedia Investors, in 1999 which provided early-stage capital for some of the UK’s leading technology companies. In 2002, he and a business partner took control of a small LSE-quoted investment vehicle which they turned into a highly successful buy-out firm. In 2006, Alastair founded his own fund management company, and in parallel founded, raised and ran an LSE-quoted fund to invest into infrastructure projects.

Currently, he is on the board of five City of London-based financial services companies, four of which he chairs. Of the five companies, four are FCA-regulated and he owns two – Naisbitt King Asset Management Limited (a fund manager) and Naisbitt King Limited (a family office). He is also Chair of the Advisory Board of Urbium Capital, a new real estate fund investing overseas capital into the UK.

Alastair is Chair of the British Liver Trust and Treasurer of the long-established City charity, the Metropolitan Drinking Fountain and Cattle Trough Association.

Francine Lacqua is an award-winning London-based anchor for Bloomberg Television. She co-anchors the weekday 3-hour daily program “Bloomberg Surveillance” with Tom Keene, where she provides insight on foreign policy, global markets and the top business stories of the day. She also presents “Leaders with Lacqua,” a special series where she sits down with top CEOs, entrepreneurs and public figures.

Since joining Bloomberg in 2000, Lacqua has covered the World Economic Forum in Davos, IMF in Washington, G20 meetings, the EU Leaders Summit and OPEC. She also led Bloomberg Television’s coverage of the Italian and French elections where she was one of the first international reporters to interview cabinet members.

While at Bloomberg, Lacqua has interviewed high-profile figures such as French President Emmanuel Macron, former UK Prime Minister David Cameron, IMF Managing Director Christine Lagarde, World Bank President Jim Yong Kim, Bank of England Governor Mark Carney, Billionaire financier George Soros and ECB President Mario Draghi. She has also interviewed finance ministers from South Korea, Russia, France, Mexico, Italy and Greece, as well as moderating televised debates from the World Economic Forum in Davos and the European Economic Governance package.

In 2018, Lacqua received the Knight of the Order of the Star of Italy (Cavaliere dell’Ordine della Stella d’Italia). The decoration, honoring Italians living abroad who promote national prestige and co-operation with the nation, was presented by the Italian Ambassador Raffaele Trombetta on behalf of the president of Italy.

In 2013 Lacqua won ‘International TV Personality of the Year’ at the AIB Media Awards. She was previously nominated in 2009 and 2010. In 2012, she was part of the Bloomberg team that won the OPEC award for ‘Public Interest Reporting’. She has an LLB in English law from King’s College in London and earned her undergraduate degree at the Sorbonne. She is fluent in French and Italian.

Veronica Iommi was appointed Secretary General of the Institutional Money Market Funds Association (IMMFA) in August 2019. Veronica joined IMMFA from BNY Mellon where she was European Bank General Counsel and EMEA Head of Public Policy at BNY Mellon. In these roles, Veronica was responsible for coordinating BNY Mellon’s Continental Legal heads and leading regulatory advocacy engagement across Europe Middle East and Africa.

Prior to that, Veronica was at LCH. Clearnet SA in Paris where she was General Counsel and member of the Executive Committee and for many years at Credit Suisse, where she performed several roles, including Head of Legal and Compliance for their French and Monaco operations, EMEA Legislative Developments Counsel and Head of the Structured Products Group.
She also spent five years at Goldman Sachs as a lawyer in their Investment Banking Division and commenced her career at Clifford Chance where she qualified as a solicitor into their International Capital Markets Department.
Veronica has legal and regulatory expertise in investment banking, asset management, private banking, custody and clearing house activities.

Veronica has worked and lived across Europe and speaks several European languages, including French, Spanish and Italian. She is on the Roll of Solicitors for England and Wales and for the Republic of Ireland.

Dennis Gepp was a founding partner and the Chief Investment Officer at Prime Rate Capital Management LLP, from 2007 until the company was acquired in early 2012 by Federated Hermes, Inc. Since then, he has been Managing Director of Federated Hermes (UK) LLP, and CIO of the cash business until December 2022. Since January 2023 he has concentrated on regulatory matters as Head of European Regulatory Affairs.

Dennis was Treasurer of Brown Shipley & Co Ltd, private bankers, responsible for the management of the bank’s liquidity and asset and liability management from 1992 until 2007. During the previous 19 years, he held senior positions in the Treasury Departments of CIBC (Europe), Middle East Bank, Baring Brothers, Iran Overseas Investment Bank and Bank of America International. He has been Honorary Treasurer of ACI UK – the Financial Markets Association, the world’s largest association of financial markets practitioners, a member of the Board of the Institutional Money Market Fund Association (IMMFA) and chair of IMMFA’s Investment Committee. He is currently a member of the STEP (Short Term European Paper) Committee, EFAMA’s Trade, Trade Reporting and Market Infrastructure Standing Committee and MMF Working Group, Irish Fund’s MMF working Group and Fitch’s European Short-Term Investor Advisory Council.

Olivia Maguire, CFA is a Portfolio Manager in the J.P. Morgan Asset Management Global Liquidity team in London, focusing primarily on sterling-denominated money market funds and short-term fixed income separate accounts. Olivia previously worked in the J.P. Morgan Investment Bank Futures & Options Group and as a business analyst within the J.P. Morgan Private Bank. Olivia holds a Bachelor of Commerce and a Master of Business Studies from University College Dublin, and is a CFA Charterholder. Olivia is a current member of the Bank of England Money Market Committee; the Bank of England SONIA Stakeholder Advisory Group; and the European Central Bank Money Market Contact Group.  She formerly chaired the Institutional Money Market Funds Association (IMMFA) Investment Committee from 2018 to 2021.

Emma holds an MSc in Economic History from the London School of Economics, and studied Economics, Finance and Law at the University of Auckland.

Anne is the Head of Department, for the Market Analysis and Policy (MAP) Department at the FCA. This department focuses on the cross-firm, cross-market, and cross-product work of the Wholesale Sell Side and Infrastructure & Exchanges directorates. The department also leads on structured finance and wholesale conduct policy.

Anne joined the FCA in 2015 and was previously a Manager of the Market Analysis and Risk team. The team was responsible for shaping policy on all credit related markets. Prior to her manager role, Anne was a technical Specialist in the post-trade policy team responsible for developing and implementing the G20 derivatives reform in the UK. Before joining the FCA, Anne worked as the COO of a derivatives trading platform for three years and as a managing director in securitization for a monoline insurer for 15 years.

Previously, Caroline was a portfolio manager for a range of money market and short duration bond funds at Aviva Investors.

Cassie Jones is a Managing Director at State Street serving as EMEA Head of Financing Solutions Sales and Client Management. Cassie is responsible for relationship management and sales for State Street’s agency lending, repo and principal financing products.

Previously, Cassie led the repo and collateral business development teams at State Street. She was strategically involved in the launch of State Street’s Collateral+ solution and Peer-to-Peer financing platforms. Cassie has held a number of roles in State Street’s financing division including trading, product development, business development, and analytics.

Cassie is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Charterholder and holds a Bachelors Degree in Finance.

Geeta Sharma is the lead US Dollar Portfolio Manager for International Cash Management at BlackRock.

As one of the world’s largest money market fund providers, BlackRock Cash Management manages liquidity assets across multiple currencies for corporations, banks, foundations, insurance companies hedge funds as well as asset and wealth managers.

The International Portfolio Management team is responsible for short-term investment solutions, including pooled funds and separately managed accounts across a variety of mandates and currencies.

Prior to joining BlackRock in 2018, Geeta worked at Northern Trust Asset Management as a Senior Portfolio Manager for global money market funds, active short duration mandates and passive global fixed income funds. She was then Head of Fixed Income Strategies for EMEA and APAC, focusing on client investment solutions. In this role she was a lead in the development of sustainable investment strategies, holding positions on the Northern Trust ESG Council and externally on UN PRI working groups.

Geeta also worked as an active short duration portfolio manager at EPIC Investment Management and began her career in fixed income emerging markets trading at Credit Suisse First Boston.

Geeta earned a BSc(Hons) in Economics from City University, London in 1999 and holds the Investment Management Certificate from CFA UK.
