Join the kick off to our 2023 Bloomberg Military and Veteran’s Heritage Month with an interactive event and reception co-hosted with The Parachute Regiment and Airborne Forces (Support our Paras).
We’ll be in conversation with their CEO, Andrew Jackson, a former Para officer who served in many conflicts around the world. Moderated by Paul Ferguson, they will discuss the work of the airborne forces both military and humanitarian, life as a Parachute Regiment soldier, how the charity supports those who have served and the transferable skills and experiences that member of the Armed Forces can bring to Bloomberg. Join us for networking after and try a virtual reality parachute jump.
This promises an insightful session and invitation goes out to those who’ve served, those interested in geo-politics or military history, or those looking to better understand our Bloomberg Military and Veterans Community.

Andrew Jackson
Andrew Jackson was commissioned into The Parachute Regiment in 1992 as a graduate and served for 30 years. During that time he completed multiple operational tours worldwide, being awarded a Queen’s Commendation for Valuable Service (QCVS) for service in Afghanistan, plus extensive overseas exchange service in both USA and Pakistan. He also commanded the unit which trains and selects all paratroopers. His last appointment was as Deputy Commander of 16 Air Assault Brigade Combat Team.
On leaving the Army, Andrew worked in the financial sector before returning to the regimental fold with PRAFC. His wider interests include running, field sports and skiing.
