Bloomberg New Voices invites you to our event at Pérez Art Museum Miami (PAMM) on December 8 as we kick off another year of intensive media training for senior Latinx professionals in business and finance. Join us to learn more about this important initiative to improve representation in our news coverage.
The evening will feature a conversation with Tere Blanca, Founder, Chairman and CEO of Blanca Commercial Real Estate and Anne Dias, Founder and CEO of Aragon Global Management, moderated by Bloomberg Television anchor Shery Ahn. The event will also include remarks from Miami Bureau Chief Felipe Marques, Photo Editor Amanda Saviñón and New Voices Founder Laura Zelenko.
Join us for an evening of conversation, networking, and refreshments. New Voices guests will have access to PAMM’s Gary Simmons: Public Enemy exhibit.

Anne Dias
Anne Dias is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Aragon Global Management, an investment firm active in global equities, with a focus on the internet, media, technology, and consumer sectors, as well as alternative assets.

Shery Ahn
Shery Ahn is the Tokyo-based anchor of “Bloomberg: The Asia Trade,” airing weekdays 8-10am JST. Ahn has interviewed some of Asia’s top leaders including Honda’s Toshihiro Mibe and LG Electronic’s William Cho as well as Tokyo’s Governor Yuriko Koike and Japan’s Digital Minister Taro Kono.
Ahn was raised in Bolivia and speaks Spanish, English and Korean. Before moving to Tokyo, she was based in New York, bringing the Wall Street close to Bloomberg’s global audience. As Bloomberg’s Emerging Markets Correspondent, Ahn also interviewed some of the developing world’s top policymakers including the Philippines’ Ferdinand Marcos Jr., Pakistan’s Shehbaz Sharif, Bank of Korea’s Rhee Chang-yong, and Brazil Central Bank’s Roberto Campos Neto.
Before moving to New York, Ahn was based in Hong Kong where she covered key events including the 2014 Umbrella Protests and the G20 summit in Hangzhou. Prior to Bloomberg, Ahn was based in Tokyo as an anchor for Japan’s public broadcaster NHK World, where she reported live on the 2011 earthquake and Fukushima nuclear disaster. Ahn began her broadcast career in Seoul as a Diplomatic Correspondent covering North Korea and the Six-Party Nuclear Talks in Beijing.
Ahn graduated from Seoul National University and is currently earning an MS in Global Affairs from New York University.

Laura Zelenko
Laura Zelenko is senior executive editor overseeing editorial Standards, Diversity, Talent and Training across Bloomberg’s global newsroom. As part of her role, Laura set out a comprehensive initiative– New Voices — to improve gender representation on every platform, including a tracking system for sourcing and an intensive media training program for women and other under-represented executives. Within the newsroom she works with managers to make meaningful progress towards gender parity and increased ethnic diversity at every level and leads Bloomberg News’ internship program and all training and talent development efforts to help meet those goals. Laura began working for Bloomberg in 1993 in Prague and has run numerous worldwide reporting teams, including all of Bloomberg’s business, finance, energy, markets and investigative coverage as the head of global beat reporting. She is a graduate of Princeton University with a BA in Politics and has two adult children who live in Los Angeles.
