Bloomberg Intelligence and EPRA 2025 Real Estate Finance Summit

Tolu Alamutu, a senior credit analyst at Bloomberg Intelligence, specializes in European real estate issuers and emerging market banks. With experience at Gramercy Ltd, Tellimer, and Bank of America Merrill Lynch, she holds dual B.Sc. degrees and is a CFA Charterholder.

Ana Andrade is an economist covering the UK and the euro area for Bloomberg Economics in London. She has previously worked in the global forecast team at the Bank of England, at the Economist Intelligence Unit and at Spain’s fiscal watchdog. She holds a Master’s degree from the Barcelona School of Economics.

Ben Bannatyne is the president of Prologis Europe and chairs the European Management Executive Committee. With over 27 years of experience, he previously served as managing director and regional head for Central & Eastern Europe. Ben joined Prologis in 2008 from JLL and holds a degree in land economy from the University of Aberdeen. He is also a UK-trained chartered surveyor (MRICS).

John Cahill joined Stifel in 2015 and works as an Analyst in the Real Estate sector in the London office. Prior to Stifel, he was with Oriel Securities and Investec, part of the U.K. Real Estate research team. He began his career at the Bank of England. John holds an M.Sc. from Oxford University and a B.A. from Durham University, both in Economics.

Barney started his career as a General practice Surveyor training and practising in the Central London commercial property market in the 1990’s. More recently his career has been property data related working on projects including the roll out of energy performance certificates in the UK and as Chief Operating Officer in a Joint Venture Company with HomeTrack.

Helen was appointed Chief Executive of Grainger in January 2016. She previously served as Global Head of Real Estate Asset Management at RBS and held roles at Legal and General Property, Railtrack, and John Laing Developments. Helen is Senior Independent Director on the Board of Derwent London, Vice-Chair of the European Public Real Estate Association, and Past President of the British Property Federation. She is an Honorary Fellow of University College of Estate Management and a chartered surveyor.

David Greenbaum was appointed CEO of CPI Property Group in November 2023. David previously held the role of CFO of CPIPG from February 2018. David joined CPIPG after 16 years at Deutsche Bank, where he was most recently co-head of Debt Capital Markets for the CEEMEA region. In November 2023, David was also appointed as Managing Director.

Philip Grosse has been member of the Management Board of Vonovia SE as Chief Financial Officer since January 2022. After studying business management, he worked in investment banking in Frankfurt and London between 1997 and 2012, most recently as Managing Director and Head of Equity Capital Markets Germany & Austria at Credit Suisse. As of 2013, Philip Grosse worked in leadership roles focusing on corporate finance and investor relations for the Deutsche Wohnen Group. He was appointed to the Management Board of Deutsche Wohnen as CFO in 2016.

Kriti Gupta is the London-based co-anchor of “The Opening Trade” on Bloomberg Television. Formerly, she anchored “Daybreak Europe.” She has also served as the anchor of “Bloomberg Surveillance: Early Edition” and “Bloomberg Markets: Americas” from New York.

She has broken news and moved markets in interviews with global central bankers, energy and finance ministers as well as some of corporate America’s biggest CEO’s. Kriti also contributes markets and field reporting throughout the day as a correspondent notably covering surging oil prices after the war in Ukraine from Houston, rail strikes, former President Trump’s Manhattan arraignment, and the Brooklyn subway shooting.

Kriti began her career with Bloomberg in September 2018. After covering the US-China trade war, Covid-19 pandemic and 2020 election, she led coverage and macro commentary for Markets Live, Bloomberg’s go-to traders’ blog. She was also a weekly columnist and served as an audio squawk for trading floors around the world.

Prior to joining Bloomberg, Kriti worked in equity research, serving some of the largest hedge funds on Wall Street. She graduated from the University of Virginia.

Damian is the Director and Head of Research for Colliers’ Global Capital Markets platform in the EMEA region. With over 25 years of experience in the real estate industry, he provides clients with insights on global capital market trends. Based in London, Damian has worked across EMEA, including Dubai, Prague, Helsinki, and Amsterdam. He holds a Masters in European Property Development and Planning from University College London and is a qualified surveyor with MRICS from the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors.

Iwona Hovenko is a Senior Real Estate Analyst covering housing, Real Estate and Construction. She holds a degree in Economics from the University of Warsaw. With extensive experience in analyzing the UK housing market, Iwona provides insightful commentary on market trends and developments. Her expertise is frequently featured in industry publications, making her a respected voice in the field.

Valerie Jacob is a seasoned real estate investment professional with extensive experience in equity research, fund management, and corporate development. She is currently a Managing Director in Real Estate Research at Bernstein. Previously, she was a Fund Manager at abrdn and held leadership roles at Eurocommercial Properties and Exane. With a background in finance from HEC Paris, she has excelled in investor relations, strategic analysis, and commercial real estate investments across Europe, bringing over two decades of expertise to the industry.

Jean Kotarakos joined Cofinimmo as CFO in June 2018. He holds a degree in Commercial Engineering from the Solvay Brussels School of Economics and Management (ULB). Jean oversees various departments including Accounting, Communication, IR, IT, and Treasury. He previously held financial positions at KPMG, D’Ieteren, and Aedifica where he was CFO from 2007 to 2018. Jean also holds several mandates in Cofinimmo’s subsidiaries.

Dominique Moerenhout is the CEO of EPRA since 2017, previously holding the CEO role at BNP Paribas Real Estate Investment Management for Luxembourg and Belgium. With experience as a management consultant at KPMG and in private banking, he later joined Fortis Private Real Estate. Dominique holds a Master’s in Business Administration from ICHEC Brussels and a European Master in Financial Analysis (CFA). Fluent in English, French, and Dutch, he brings extensive expertise to his role at EPRA.

Sue has over 35 year’s experience as an investment professional and is currently a Director of Research and Regional Head of Bloomberg Intelligence for EMEA. She has also led the European real estate equity franchise at Bloomberg Intelligence since 2016. From 2009 she had held Director positions at U.K. Brokers Seymour Pierce, Cantor Fitzgerald and Panmure Gordon as an analyst covering real estate and financial equities. Sue spent 15 years in Asia gaining experience as a credit analyst with Royal Bank of Canada and subsequently as Chief Investment Officer for Capital House (Royal Bank of Scotland) covering Asian equities. She is a CFA charterholder.

Matthew Norris, CFA, is Head of Real Estate Securities at Gravis, where he manages REIT-focused investment funds. He brings deep expertise from prior roles at a Family Investment Office, Grosvenor Group, Fulcrum Asset Management, and Credit Suisse, among others. Matthew holds a BA (Hons) in Economics & Politics from the University of York and earned his CFA charter in 2000. He also served as Lead Governor at Great Ormond Street Hospital. With over two decades in finance, Matthew combines strategic insight with a strong commitment to responsible investing.

Thomas joined Shurgard in 2020 as Finance Director and became CFO in 2025, overseeing Finance, Customer Acquisition & Revenue Optimization, IT, and Investor Relations. Previously, he worked at Delhaize Group, Ahold Delhaize, and Beter Bed Holding as DACH CFO. His career began with a Big 4 audit firm in the UK, followed by roles in Germany and Belgium, including as a project manager at EFRAG. Thomas holds a Business Administration degree from Germany and has published numerous financial articles in accounting journals.

Jamie Rush, Chief European Economist at Bloomberg in London since 2015, leads research and forecasting for UK, euro area, Nordics, and Russia. He previously managed Middle East and Africa teams and developed SHOK, an in-house model. Jamie holds a PhD in economics from the University of Sheffield and has published extensively. He regularly appears in the media, has testified before the British Parliament, and lectures at University College London. Jamie’s career includes roles at the UK Office for Budget Responsibility and the New Zealand Treasury.

Hassan graduated with a LLB from Queen Mary, University of London and holds an MBA from Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University. He has 18 years of work experience in finance, ESG & strategy including 7 years in the listed real estate space.

Peter Yu is a Managing Director and fixed income credit analyst at Wellington Management, based in London. As a credit analyst, Peter is responsible for providing coverage of real estate companies in Europe and the US. Prior to joining Wellington Management in 2022, Peter worked as a real estate focused credit and equities investor at Amundi, AMP Capital and Abrdn.
