Europe Gas Market Outlook | Q&A
- 15:05 – 15:30
Europe’s benchmark gas prices remain sensitive to unplanned supply risks, geopolitical tensions and weather uncertainty as the region heads into the winter. BloombergNEF will provide an up-to-date view of the outlook for gas supply and demand balance for Europe, including a range of possible scenarios.
Iryna Sereda
Head of European Gas, BloombergNEF
Global LNG Market Outlook | Q&A
- 15:30 – 16:00
Weakness in China’s LNG demand amid trade tensions is heavily influencing the benchmark spot prices. A number of new liquefaction projects are set to start over the winter season, bringing more cargoes from the US, Mexico, Australia and Africa. Weak Asian demand, new supply and possible re-entry of Russian LNG will shape up the winter season LNG market dynamics. BloombergNEF will provide insights into the winter global LNG balances and explore the key uncertainties that could shape prices over the season.
Abhishek Rohatgi
Head APAC Gas & Global LNG, BloombergNEF
Between Washington and Beijing: Europe’s Geopolitical Bind | Q&A
- 16:00 – 16:30
Europe is facing mounting pressure from all sides: higher U.S. tariffs, an ongoing war in Ukraine, and a strained relationship with China. These challenges are redefining the continent’s prospects for growth and stability. Bloomberg Economics will deliver a clear assessment of Europe’s geopolitical and economic outlook, examining the risks, policy responses, and potential scenarios for the region in the months ahead.
Antonio Barroso
Europe Geoeconomics Lead, Bloomberg Economics
Methane Debate | Q&A
- 16:30 – 17:00
The prospect of rewarding methane performance triggered a boom of differentiated natural gas supply, primarily in the US – although price premiums remained modest. Now, with the EU Methane Regulation set to reshape gas flows, the spotlight is shifting to low-methane gas. This panel will explore the emerging reality where emissions transparency becomes a trade requirement not just a climate commitment, and what that might mean for the evolution of low-methane gas and its premiums in the global market.
Maria-Olivia Torcea
Associate, Upstream Oil – Emissions & Methane Lead, BloombergNEFIryna Sereda
Head of European Gas, BloombergNEF
Long-Term Electricity Demand Trends | Q&A
- 17:00 – 17:30
Electricity demand is set to rise steadily through mid-century in BloombergNEF’s long-term energy transition scenarios. Rapid uptake of electric vehicles and the growth of data centers are among the strongest new demand drivers. This session will provide insights into the main drivers shaping electricity consumption and how the power generation mix evolves to meet growing demand.
