Emily Porter Lynch

Head of Strategy Implementation
Universities Superannuation Scheme

Emily Porter Lynch is Head of Strategy Implementation at the Universities Superannuation Scheme (USS).  She and her team focus on selecting and structuring external managers for the Scheme, including Active Long Only, Passive, Structured Product and Hedge Fund Managers for both the Defined Benefit and Defined Contribution schemes.  She also works on identifying ideas for Scheme level individual trades and positioning, and assists in overseeing Treasury functions with associated underlying cash funds and products.  Prior to re-joining USS in 2015 Emily spend a year at Bfinance working on their Alternatives offering.  She originally joined USS from Key Asset Management in 2009 to set up the Hedge Fund Programme at USS, and whilst at Key had run Multi Strategy and Event Driven Fund of Hedge Fund products.  Prior to Key she worked at Asset Alliance, Aurum and ABN Amro in hedge fund analysis roles.

Yodia Lo

Church Commissioners

Yodia Lo focuses on Hedge Funds, Alternative Credit and Co-investments at Church Commissioners, the £8 billion endowment arm of the Church of England.

Prior to Church Commissioners, she was head of Multi-Strategy Hedge Fund selection at Towers Watson.

Yodia began her career at Evercore Partners and has an MBA from London Business School. She also is a board member of the Friends’ Council at St. Paul’s Cathedral.

Alison Trusty

Alison Trusty is a senior investment consultant within the global investment management team, with over 10 years investment experience. At Aon Alison’s research focus is on alternative credit, with expertise across structured credit, corporate credit and distressed debt.

Before joining Aon Alison spent five and half years at Hymans Robertson, a UK Consultancy, where she led the firm’s research and advice on hedge fund strategies and managers. Prior to this, Alison worked as a hedge fund analyst at Olympia Capital Management, a Paris-based multi-strategy fund of hedge fund.

Alison started her career at a private wealth management firm where she was co-portfolio manager for the firm’s discretionary managed AIM portfolios.

Jeannine Daniel

Jeannine Daniel is Managing Director, Head of liquid and Illiquid Fund Investments at Cara Investment GmbH (“Cara”), a Private Investment Office which allocates across traditional and alternative assets including Hedge Funds, Private Equity and Real Estate.

Jeannine joined Cara in 2017 from Amundi where she was Director, Head of Equity and Event Driven Strategies, responsible for sourcing, selecting and monitoring managers for their Alternative Investment division. In 2010 Jeannine joined Kedge Capital, the Family Office for the Bertarelli family as a Senior Hedge Fund advisor helping manage their $5bn Hedge Fund investment programme. In 2004 Jeannine joined Ivy Asset Management, a large U.S. based Fund of Hedge Fund to help coordinate its European Investments and at age 25 became the firm’s youngest AVP. Jeannine also spent time at Barclays Global Investors (BGI) and JP Morgan having previously graduated with a bachelor’s degree with honors in Finance at Royal Holloway, University of London. In addition, she has obtained the CAIA Charter. In 2015 Jeannine was awarded the Financial News 40 under 40 as part of the Rising Stars in the European Hedge Fund Industry.

Libbi Ross

Libbi Ross is responsible for Bloomberg Mandates in EMEA, a service connecting Bloomberg’s network of Alternative Fund Managers to Allocators to assist in capital raising.

Prior to joining Bloomberg, Libbi worked at RBS in Hedge Fund Markets Relationship Management and Hedge Fund Rates Sales, initially starting her career in Capital Introductions at Newedge (now Societe Generale).
