Software Engineer
Deutsche Bank

Richard brings over 15 years experience in the software engineering space, and is currently working at Deutsche Bank. He has worked at leading investment banks and consultancies including Credit Suisse, UBS and GFT group, on technology solutions for different parts of the business. Richard studied his undergraduate degree in the Caribbean, at the University of West Indies, and then completed his masters in computer science at University of Illinois.

He has seen the good, bad, and the ugly, from change documentation that takes two days to prepare, to editing live trade messages by hand (don’t ask).  He has learned that the next big thing is sometimes repackaging basic techniques that are decades old and that most technology projects in business are primarily about people, teams, and communication, not just about the tech.
