Overview
Brazil’s forthcoming Ecological Transformation Plan (ETP) has the potential to harness the country’s ambition to facilitate a just and equitable transition of the national economy by rapidly reducing emissions while stimulating growth in sustainable industries. In this session, Minister Haddad and BNDES President Aloizio Mercadante will outline the key objectives of Brazil’s green growth agenda and, in particular, the ETP. Following these remarks, Mark Carney, UN Secretary-General’s Special Envoy on Climate Action and Finance and Co-Chair of Glasgow Financial Alliance for Net Zero (GFANZ), will moderate a discussion with our keynote speakers.
