Eric Wong is the founder and managing director of private equity firm Bricks & Mortar Management Ltd, a company specialised in investing in physical property across the world to take advantage of differing property cycles in different markets. In the past 21 years, the portfolio of properties managed by Eric has returned 62x on equity invested (23% ROE p.a.).

Prior to his current venture, Eric worked at UBS between 1998 and 2011, rising to the position of Head of Asia Real Estate Research, during this period the UBS Asian Property Research Team secured top three rankings every year in various financial polls. Eric’s research responsibility included real estate and hotels strategy in Asia, with specific focus on Hong Kong and China; his company coverage included property developers, landlords, REITs, and hotel stocks. Eric also worked on many landmark transactions, including the IPOs of New World China Land, MTRC, BOC (HK), Link REIT, Greentown China, Country Garden, SOHO China, Renhe Commercial, Glorious Property, Longfor, Jinjiang Hotels, and many other major financing transactions besides.

Earlier on in his career, Eric qualified as a chartered accountant with KPMG in the UK, followed by working in Europe with Ford Motor Company in profit analysis and internal audit.

Eric is also a respected commentator on economics, property markets, and urban planning / housing policies, frequently interviewed by Hong Kong’s top TV / radio stations, newspapers and magazines.

Eric has an MA in Law from the University of Cambridge and an MBA from Warwick University.

Rosanna has over 16 years experience in the real estate markets across Hong Kong, Greater Bay Area and Asia Pacific. With her profound understanding of the property market and strong research background from both buy-side and sell-side experiences, Rosanna has led numerous pioneer thought leadership research papers and client orientated initiatives throughout her career. As a trilingual professional fluent in English, Mandarin and Cantonese, Rosanna is an active commentator in both global and local media, and she is also a frequent speaker for different industries and professional events.

Prior to joining Cushman & Wakefield, Rosanna has held senior positions as Head of Research, Hong Kong and Greater Bay Area in Colliers, and as Director in CBRE Asia Pacific Research. Rosanna has also worked in the Corporate Planning & Strategic Investment Department of Sun Hung Kai Properties, where she led research analysis for both Hong Kong and overseas property markets.

Rosanna graduated from Peking University with a Bachelor of Law degree majoring in Political and Public Administration, with a double degree in Sociology. She then went on to earn a Master of Science degree in Finance from the University of Michigan.

Patrick is the Bloomberg Intelligence Senior Analyst covering the real estate sector in Asia Pacific. Patrick has more than 20 years of experience in the real estate sector. Prior to joining Bloomberg Intelligence, he was a sell-side equity research analyst with BNP Paribas and Samsung Securities, covering Hong Kong and China property companies. Patrick started his career as a quantity surveyor and worked in real estate research with various institutions including JLL and Link REIT.

Patrick has a Master of Economics and a Bachelor of Science in Surveying from the University of Hong Kong. Patrick also has a Master of Science in Information Technology from the Hong Kong Polytechnic University. He is a CFA Charterholder and a Fellow Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors. He also holds the CFA Institute Certificate in ESG Investing.
