Terry Childs
Terry is Head of RigLogix and is responsible for leading the research and insights into the worldwide offshore rig market.
Terry has 35+ years of experience tracking and writing about the offshore rig market within various research focused roles and direct with the rig contractors. Terry started his career with IHS-Petrodata legacy company Offshore Data Services, followed by a period marketing rigs for ENSCO in the Gulf of Mexico. Terry then returned to the market intelligence side of the business, with further positions at DrillingInfo and RigData before joining the RigLogix team within Rigzone in December 2014 leading the operations of the Data Services group through to the acquisition of RigLogix by Westwood Global Energy Group in February 2018.
Rob Du Boff
Rob Du Boff is a senior analyst for Bloomberg Intelligence, focusing on Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) research. He is a also a product manager for Bloomberg’s recently released ESG Governance Scores.
He joined BI from JUST Capital, a non-profit that ranks the largest U.S. public companies on ESG priorities. Previously, he worked for over a decade on Wall Street as an equity research analyst, most recently as a senior oil & gas analyst at Oppenheimer & Co. He also worked at Millennium Partners and Merrill Lynch covering energy, basic resources, and retail.
Rob holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of Chicago and an MBA in finance and accounting from NYU’s the Leonard N. Stern School of Business. He also holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation.
Brett Gibbs
Brett Gibbs is an Equity Research Analyst for Bloomberg Intelligence covering Renewable Fuels. Previously he was a Sr. Associate Analyst covering Integrated Oils and Refiners in the Americas for over three years. Brett has followed the most important offshore basins in the world, including Brazil’s pre-salt, Guyana, the Gulf of Mexico, and Eastern Canada.
Gareth Hector
Gareth is responsible for marketing strategy, planning and implementation, working across all Westwood’s market sectors and solutions. Gareth’s marketing and commercial experience spans almost 25-years, predominantly spent focused on energy and natural resources markets across the globe.
Having started his career in regional press, Gareth further developed his early sales and marketing skills agency side, before stepping into B2B publishing working for leading industry publishers and market intelligence providers, whilst also building an impressive portfolio as a professional photographer.
At Westwood, Gareth has led the Company’s brand and content evolution since 2018 and works closely with market leads and industry partners to promote, explain and provide detailed insights into the upstream energy market.
Scott Levine
Roddie Mackenzie
Named to his current position in February 2022, Mr. Mackenzie is responsible for identifying innovative technologies that create demonstrable value for Transocean’s customers and differentiate Transocean from its competitors in addition to leading Transocean’s Marketing organization. Mr. Mackenzie served previously as Senior Vice President, Marketing, Innovation and Industry Relations; Vice President, Marketing and Contracts; Managing Director, Business Development and Strategic Accounts, and as a Marketing Director with increasing roles of responsibility in the United States, France, and Dubai. He brings over 20 years of industry experience and prior to his time in Marketing, Mr. Mackenzie served in various operational and project roles around the globe, starting his career at Transocean as a rig-based engineer in 1997. He has worked on all manner of drilling rigs in Algeria, Nigeria, Cameroon, Angola, Brazil, and the US Gulf of Mexico.
Mr. Mackenzie currently serves as Vice President for Offshore Division of the International Association of Drilling Contractors and on various committees for the Offshore Energy Center.
Mr. Mackenzie graduated from the Harvard Business School Advanced Management Program in 2016 and received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Strathclyde in Civil Engineering with Environmental Studies in 1997.
Roger Thomson
Teresa Wilkie
Teresa is Research Director of RigLogix and is focused on developing new rig analytics products, whilst also continuing to track and analyse the offshore rig market as part of the RigLogix team.
With over a decade of experience under her belt as an analyst and product manager in the energy industry, Teresa returned to Westwood Global Energy Group following a previous four-year tenure working across the suite of rig intelligence services.
Alongside her legacy with the Group, Teresa brings considerable expertise from her time at IHS-Markit and Esgian (Bassoe Offshore), predominantly focused on the offshore rig market alongside several years’ experience tracking the subsea vessel and accommodation rig markets.
Teresa was heavily involved with the development of an offshore rig emission tracking and estimating product in her previous role.
