Cook had a slightly out-of-the-ordinary journey compared to a traditional Silicon Valley founder. Before launching Rho in 2018 with his co-founder, Alex Wheldon, he spent a decade on Wall Street as a macro analyst and hedge fund trader, a profession where success is equal parts foresight around market trends and comfort moving left when others move right.
From Day 1, Rho has operated with the mission to make finance frictionless for organizations. However, Cook’s vantage point as a former investor has been instrumental in guiding the company’s evolution from its early days as an online banking service platform to the comprehensive finance platform thousands of American middle-market businesses use today to automate payables, expenses, treasury, banking services, accounting, and more.
With fresh learnings from integrating generative AI to power the Rho platform’s AP capabilities and managing recent deals with Capital and Creative Juice, Rho is finding new ways to help finance teams do more of what they love and automate away what they don’t.
