Overview
Join us for a fun weekend of hacking on Git!
We’ll provide space, power, Internet access, food, beverages, and mentors, so you can focus on spending your time doing what you want to do: writing code.
You’ll need to bring a suitable laptop running Linux, macOS, or Microsoft Windows (don’t forget your power adapter!) and your C and shell coding skills. We’ll have mentors on hand with lists of projects to tackle, and lots of people willing to team up. If you’ve never worked on Git before, don’t worry, we’ll organize a ‘Quick Start’ session to get you up to speed quickly.
We will also provide you with your own hosted Virtual Machine, configured with all the development tools you may need so that you can dive straight into the code! You may also wish to look at the Git community page (https://git-scm.com/community) to familiarize yourself with the Git contribution process.
Photo ID as well as pre-registration is required for entry at Bloomberg. Don’t forget yours as we won’t be able to let you in without it!
