As financial markets move to faster settlement and increasingly look to embrace digital technology to help deliver efficiencies and cost reductions, this event will explore how the development and adoption of data standards will be crucial to successfully navigating the challenges to come. Specifically for the UK, the recent digital markets champion report noted that a key priority area is for ‘standards that support domestic and international interoperability and convergence’. What are those standards? How can market participants ensure that they are using the right standards to promote efficiency, especially for accelerated settlement? How can they ensure continued data quality improvements in this fast-changing environment, including for data covering private markets? What will be the impact of AI on these challenges? These and other related topics will be central to this event.
