In celebration of Veterans Awareness Month, the Military & Veterans Community invites you to join us for Theater of War: a dramatic reading of ancient Greek plays that will highlight the challenges faced by service members, veterans, and their caregivers and families today.
Theater of War is an innovative public health project that uses Sophocle’s AJAX plays to forge a common vocabulary for openly discussing the impact of war on individuals, families, and communities. These events are aimed at generating compassion and understanding between diverse audiences. Scenes from Sophocle’s AJAX – a new version by Bryan Doerries – will include performances by David Zayas, Amy Ryan, and Chinaza Uche. Each performance is followed by community panelist remarks and a facilitated town hall discussion.
