This edition of our series will feature a panel discussion examining the evolution of client experience in financial technology. We will discuss a variety of topics including why and how firms have tried to modernize their client experience, the innovation coming out of larger firms versus startups, and the evolution of customer service in the financial industry.

Asita is responsible for systematic market making and risk centralization, as well as the Data Science team within Markets. She manages a global team of quants and traders, designing, developing and running the associated trading algorithms and data science models.
 
Asita has over 14 years industry experience, spending the last seven at Goldman Sachs as Managing Director, eFICC Systematic Market Making and Execution Services.  She successfully built Goldman Sachs’s e-FICC Systematic Trading business and expanded it across products.  She also had responsibility for key trading governance initiatives.
 
Prior to Goldman Sachs, Asita was Managing Director, High Frequency Trading, at Millennium Capital Partners.  In this role, she built and ran the high frequency trading desk for European equities and was responsible for the supervision and monitoring of all exchange trading.  Previously, she spent five years in High Frequency Trading and Research at Citadel, running several execution trading platforms across securities. She also built and deployed alpha models and strategies across various asset classes.

Charlotte Crosswell is the CEO of Innovate Finance. She has spent most of her financial services career in market infrastructure roles. Prior to joining Innovate Finance, Charlotte was CEO at Nasdaq NLX (“NLX”), a London-based startup derivatives market, and sat on the board of LCH Ltd. She has held a number of management positions at Nasdaq and London Stock Exchange across international capital markets, equities, fixed income, OTC derivatives trading and clearing.

In addition to her work with Innovate Finance, Charlotte advises and sits on the boards of technology and FinTech startups. Charlotte holds a BA (Hons.) in French from the Southampton University. She has been included in the list of top 100 Women in Finance over many years.

She has previous experience working for Google, both as an Account Strategist and then EMEA Business Development Manager at YouTube.

Nieke Martens is Head of the Digital Hub at Rabobank’s Digital Transformation Office. During the past 20 years, she has been active in the USA, Denmark, UK and the Netherlands in investment banking and private banking.

Heading the Digital Hub for Rabobank, Nieke is now responsible for the digitalization of customer journeys for all the business lines within Rabobank. She has a degree in Business Economics at Tilburg University and a MBA from INSEAD.

She has a weekly segment dedicated to the business of equality and diversity. Prior to this, Annmarie was behind the camera, as the executive producer for Bloomberg TV’s EMEA newsroom, managing a team of more than a dozen producers from Dubai to London. In her role as EP she was named Forbes “30-Under-30 Europe” list for media in 2017.
