December 2-6 | New York City and Toronto
Mobilizing the next $10 trillion
Sustainable Finance Week, a product of collaboration between Bloomberg and our core partners, is a new center of gravity focused on accelerating the next $10 trillion in sustainable finance. Four core events will showcase the emerging trends, visionary ideas and market moving players critical to mainstreaming sustainable finance — and provide the backdrop for essential conversations, insights and leaders to emerge.
Worldwide, sustainable assets under management grew over 500% in ten years. At this rate of growth, $40 trillion will be in-market by 2020. The next $10 trillion will see the creation of the defining standards and practices for business and the markets for decades to come. It represents the mainstreaming of ESG from an ”experiment” to the everyday reality for capital markets. Let’s make it happen faster.

The Symposium aims to bring skeptics and true believers together to examine how organizations are considering material sustainability information and the SASB standards.
In conjunction with Sustainable Finance Week, Bloomberg and BMO are launching a new franchise: the Canadian Responsible Investing Forum. Taking place in Toronto, Canada, this will be Sustainable Finance Week’s first international event.
The Canadian Responsible Investing Forum will feature newsmakers and thought leaders discussing topics around sustainable finance among an influential delegation of institutional and retail investors and advisors.

Art of the
For the past three years, the Aspen Institute Business & Society Program has invited a small number of ESG experts – select investors, senior sustainability and corporate responsibility strategists, academics and others – to take stock of where the frenzy of interest is taking ESG and explore how we can improve ESG-related conversations, both inside companies and between companies and the market.
IR Magazine ESG
Corporate Secretary and IR Magazine are partnering to help companies respond to the growing demand for improved ESG practices and disclosures with an integrated approach to environmental, social and governance related risks.
The ESG integration forum brings investor relations, governance, risk and compliance experts together to explore the underlying factors that have driven the rise of ESG, deepen shareholder engagement, help companies identify and act on material risks, and better manage shareholder proposals. Further details about the agenda and speakers will be announced shortly.
Forum for Better
Companies seek to develop business leaders for a sustainable future. At this third annual forum for Better World Leadership, business and NGO leaders will present the results of the new 2019 Nonprofit Board Leadership Study. Past studies provide evidence of the value of nonprofit board service for companies, their employees, nonprofits, and communities. This year’s study looks at company practices for nonprofit board training & matching.
In an interactive format with the audience, panelists will discuss ways in which companies can advance board service to achieve company goals for leadership development, diversity and inclusion, recruitment and retention, the U.N. Sustainable Development Goals, and sustainability.
